I call on the Lord in my distress and he answers me.
Psalm 120:1
Thomas Merton, an American Trappist monk and poet, has offered inspiration and strength to millions through his writings and the witness of his life. His autobiography, The Seven Storey Mountain, appears on lists of the 100 most important books of the century. Reflect on this famous prayer by Merton:
My Lord God,
I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think that I am following Your will does not mean that I am actually doing so.
But I believe that the desire to please You does in fact please You. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this You will lead me by the right road though I may know nothing about it.
Therefore, will I trust You always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, You are ever with me, and You will never leave me to face my perils alone.
Lord,
We don't know what is ahead for us but we trust you Father to take care of us and our every need. We pray for everyone who doesn't know you today that they may hear words or a voice that would turn them to you. We thank you for your grace and mercy. May we be merciful in all things.
In Jesus Name we ask this prayer,
Amen

He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber.
-Psalm 121:3
O Gracious and Holy Father
(Benedict of Nursia)
O gracious and holy Father,
give us wisdom to perceive Thee,
intelligence to understand Thee,
diligence to seek Thee,
patience to wait for Thee,
eyes to behold Thee,
a heart to meditate upon Thee,
and a life to proclaim Thee;
through the power of the Spirit
of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Lord, hear our prayers for the sick, broken, weak and suffering near and far from us. Give us hearts for you Lord in all things. Bless the Well and our ministries as we strive to know and do your will. Amen

Prayer for Chalie Pierson's father Jim
I got an email from Charlie saying his dad had taken a turn for the worst over the weekend and it looks like he only has a short time to live. They are staying with him in Ocala, Florida and he wasn't sure how long they would be gone. Please be praying for the Pierson's and Charlie's dad Jim this week.
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
